Level of Ability: The user must be able to understand pictures as symbols or be able to read the messages on the device. The user must also be able to apply pressure to the specific buttons on the device.

How It Works: Up to 80 seconds of messages can be recorded onto the device. Up to 8 messages can be recorded. Messages can be played by applying pressure to the buttons. The device is worn on the wrist and runs on a rechargeable battery.

Possible Uses: With this piece of technology, the child can play prerecorded messages. It can be used in the classroom or at home. It can be used for basic communication or for specific activities. The recording settings make it very easy to modify what messages the buttons will play when pressed. This makes it easy to set up for greeting someone or participating in an activity.

Notes: This piece of technology is easily customized to the child’s needs, can be used in different settings, and is easily used on-the-go. The activation surface is small (only 1.5 inches/3.81 cm) so fine motor control is needed to use this device.
