Level of Ability: The child must be able to understand pictures as symbols or words and their corresponding meaning. The child must also be able to apply pressure to the button.
How It Works: The device is mounted to the wall and can be programmed to play a prerecorded, 20 second message when pressed.
Possible Uses: With this piece of technology, the device can be mounted in designated places so the child can communicate a certain message. For example, if the child needs to go to the bathroom, the device can be mounted near the door to notify the teacher that they need the bathroom pass. As another example, one can be placed near the entrance of the classroom or the home with a greeting for whoever enters the home.
