Logan® ProxTalker® Modular AAC Device

Type of Assistive Technology: Electronic Device

Level of Ability: The child must be able to understand pictures as symbols or words and their corresponding meaning. The child must also be able to handle the cards and place them in the spots on the device.

How It Works: This device uses radio frequency identification so that if you place any photo, symbol, or object on a sound tag card, it will play the corresponding sequence. Using multiple sound tag cards can create phrases or sentences.

Possible Uses: With this piece of technology, the child can select different objects or phrases and create sentences, questions, or answers.

Notes: This piece of technology is fantastic for use in different settings and isn’t too difficult to take on-the-go with the carrying case.
